Answers to Frequently Asked Questions

ON THE BUS

-Before transporting students, staff will have their temperature checked.

-Masks or face coverings must be worn by students and staff.

-Social distancing will not be possible. Families will be asked to sit together.

-Buses will be disinfected immediately after students have been dropped off at their destination and will be deep cleaned each day.

FACE MASKS/ COVERINGS MUST BE WORN BY STUDENTS AND STAFF

-Accommodations will be made on a case-by-case basis.

Cleaning and disinfecting

-It will take place daily with enhanced deep cleanings on Fridays. Hand sanitizing stations are in every classroom and high traffic areas in the building. 

Dual Language Immersion

-We do not offer a DLI online program. However, students can leave the program for up to one year and still retain their spot in the DLI program.

SPECIAL EDUCATION

-Students with an IEP or 504 will be treated on a case-by-case basis. Please work with your school for specific concerns.

ONLINE OPTIONS

-Kindergarten through 12th grade students can attend Blue Peak Online or My Tech High.

-Students in an online school can participate in athletics and activities with their boundary school. Contact the school for more information. 

SOCIAL DISTANCING

-Social Distancing will be practiced when possible. Classroom layouts are being modified and traffic flow will be determined by each school.

WE HAVE PROTOCOLS in place if an employee or student feels ill, tests positive for COVID-19, or has been in close contact with someone who has tested positive.

A district-wide information packet will be sent out in July, and schools will send out additional school-specific information in August.
